BVM Members,

Wishing all of you BVM supporters a blessed and joy filled Advent!

We have wonderful news from the Mother of Mercy Clinic – one of the earliest goals, that of providing care for expectant mothers in need – is becoming a reality!

On January 8th, a local obstetrician will begin providing prenatal care for the 12 women who are already being seen at the clinic for routine care. All of their prenatal needs will be addressed, from OB visits to child development and birth classes. We even have a lactation consultant available to assist them.

A huge thank you to the Fr. Veger Council of the Knights of Columbus at St. John the Evangelist in Warrenton for partnering with the BVM Foundation to purchase an ultrasound machine, a critical component of adequate prenatal care. Our hope is to have the ultrasound machine in place before the end of the year.

When the abortion clinic closed a couple of years ago, we all knew there would be women and babies still in need of help – our desire was always to offer them a better choice than abortion. Many, many thanks to all of you who supported us, in particular those who have made this specific need a reality.

Lastly, take a minute to read about the tremendous work done by one dietician volunteer; what a difference one person has been able to make in the lives of our community!

Sincerely,
BVM Foundation Board of Directors

December Clinic Needs

  • A Volunteer Coordinator: Alexandra really needs someone who can help her schedule the plethora of volunteers, to communicate with them, and manage the schedule. It is best if you can commit to a six-month period. The work can be done from home. Please spread the word and say a prayer for help.
  • A Stationary Bike: to be used for physical therapy.
  • A Chiropractor Volunteer: Please ask your chiropractor if they would be willing to help. If so, they can contact Alexandra at ALuevano@ccda.net.
  • A beautiful Divine Mercy picture has been donated for the new part of the clinic, which will open soon! Work has been underway, and the flooring is about to go in. Thank you to those who helped!
